A supplier guide for sellers, not a gift-shop ranking
This guide is for Canadian store owners evaluating production partners for photo gifts. These platforms help merchants create and fulfill products; they are not interchangeable with consumer retailers selling a finished gift. Gelato: check the product and destination together
Gelato's product documentation includes wall-art categories such as posters, framed posters, and canvases. Start with the exact format you intend to sell, then verify current size, finish, file requirements, and fulfillment options in its catalog. Printify: record the provider as well as the product
Printify's Home and Living catalog lists mugs, canvas, posters, and blankets, with provider choices shown for many products. Treat the selected provider and variant as part of the specification. Gooten: investigate the actual photo format
Gooten's published catalog overview includes wall art, metal prints, and acrylic photo blocks. Those categories offer starting points for a product search, not proof that a particular finish or destination is supported. Ask for the exact product specification and delivery quote; the Gooten review provides additional operating context.
Teelaunch: verify before adding a product to your store
Use Teelaunch's official product directory to investigate a candidate product. Confirm that its current decoration method supports your photograph, then obtain the template, origin, destination availability, and complete quote. Build one exact-product comparison record
Pick one intended listing and two realistic supplier candidates. A framed print and an unframed poster are different offers, even if both use the same image. Record:
- Product identifier, material, dimensions, finish, print area, and selected provider.
- File template version, crop and safe areas, supported format, and colour instructions.
- Shipping origin and representative buyer postal code, not merely your business address.
- Production estimate, shipping service, tracking, and the full checkout charge with its currency.
- Packaging, damage-report process, replacement conditions, and the support contact.
If a supplier cannot confirm a field, mark it unverified rather than replacing it with a platform-wide average.
Test the image and the customer workflow
Use a photograph you have permission to reproduce. Follow the chosen product's current template and inspect the crop around faces, small text, frame edges, and canvas wraps. Test how a buyer submits the image and approves any proof before production; an attractive mockup does not establish that this workflow works.
Order a representative sample before expanding the listing. Compare the physical item with the saved specification, photograph the packaging, and record actual order, dispatch, and delivery dates. Price the delivered order before publishing
Convert the complete supplier quote to CAD using your payment assumptions. Check marketplace and payment charges in the platform fee calculator, and include your own allowance for remakes or refunds before setting the selling price. Publish only the product and shipping route you can explain. Keep the quote date, sample findings, listing preview, and support terms together, and repeat the checks when the product, provider, or destination changes. Choose the supplier that passes your documented requirements; this guide does not name a universal winner.
