Printify vs Spreadconnect (formerly SPOD)
This comparison matters when a seller is deciding between broad provider choice and simpler fast-turn production logic.
Independent comparison and source policy
PODCanada is independent and is not endorsed by Printify. Affiliate applications are being prepared or awaiting approval. Scores and verdicts are editorial comparisons—not lab tests, delivery guarantees, or claims of first-hand product use.

The Verdict: Which is Better for Canada?
Shortlist Printify for provider-level choice and its recorded platform integrations. Consider SPOD when its current product and production estimate fit the order, then compare the full delivery window into Canada.

Platform, print provider and product route
Printify is the platform; Print Geek and Duplium are named print providers. Their Ontario locations do not mean every Printify item is made in Ontario. Check the selected provider, product, colour, size and stock before ordering. Order Routing can switch providers, and Printify Choice does not disclose a fixed provider for every order.

Supplier facts, with sources
SPOD is now Spreadconnect
Spreadconnect is the current name of SPOD, not a second supplier. Our existing SPOD review and comparison URLs stay in place so saved links still work.
Spreadconnect lists North American production in Las Vegas, United States, and European production in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. No Canadian facility is listed in its region guide. Production time is not the complete delivery time to Canada.
Spreadconnect documents Shopify and WooCommerce integrations, plus other store connections. Etsy availability is restricted for new European accounts; check account region and eligibility before choosing it for an Etsy store.

Decision guide
Where this comparison changes the decision
The score matrix is only the starting point. These four operating differences use the vendors' recorded fulfillment, catalog, pricing, and integration data to show which constraints should drive the shortlist.
Canadian fulfillment
Printify is listed with Canadian fulfillment support; its profile notes: Printify lists Print Geek and Duplium as named providers with Ontario fulfillment locations. Printify is the platform, not one Canadian factory: location, stock, price and shipping depend on the product/provider, and Order Routing or Printify Choice may change the provider used. Spreadconnect is listed as shipping into Canada without domestic fulfillment; its profile notes: Spreadconnect lists North American production in Las Vegas, United States, and European production in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. No Canadian facility is listed in its region guide. Production time is not the complete delivery time to Canada. This distinction can affect border exposure, but the exact route still depends on the product and destination.
Cost and catalog fit
Printify is in the low tier and lists T-shirts, Hoodies, Mugs, Phone cases and Home decor. Spreadconnect is in the low tier with T-shirts, Hoodies and Accessories. Both profiles show a minimum order of 1 and 1 unit respectively, so the more important check is the delivered cost of the exact product—not the tier label alone.
Store workflow
Printify is listed with Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce and Amazon. Spreadconnect is listed with Shopify and WooCommerce. If a required sales channel appears on only one side, that gap may outweigh a modest score advantage by reducing manual order handling or ruling out a platform entirely.
Best-fit split
Shortlist Printify for Sellers comparing multiple providers, Etsy stores testing product options and Operators willing to sample provider-specific SKUs. Its main recorded caution is Quality consistency varies by supplier. Shortlist Spreadconnect for Simple Shopify setups, Fast-turn apparel and Stores optimizing for turnaround, while accounting for its recorded caution: No Canadian facility listed. The better choice is the one whose constraint you can manage, not automatically the one with the larger headline score.

Comparison FAQs
Which is better for Canadian Shopify stores?
Start with the required Shopify product, provider, and destination. The better option is the one whose current quote, sample, and delivery estimate fit the store.
Does SPOD support Etsy as well as Printify?
Printify documents Etsy support. Spreadconnect, formerly SPOD, also documents an Etsy integration, but new European accounts face restrictions. Check the account region and current integration eligibility on the official sites before choosing.
Is faster production the same as faster delivery to Canada?
No. Production speed helps, but the shipping lane still determines the customer delivery window.
